Grad Student/New Professional Committee Constitution: The committee shall be responsible for assisting with recruitment of graduate student and new professional members, coordinating activities related to graduate students and new professionals and coordinating job information materials. The committee chair will be responsible for ensuring graduate student and new professional representation on the committee.
Responsibilities: Assist with the recruitment of graduate student and new professional members, coordinate activities related to graduate students and new professional, coordinate careers in student affairs, activities, and coordinate job information services.
- Adopt case competition for graduate students
- Collaborate with committee & Exec Board to conduct road show during Careers in Student Affairs week
- Solicit/write article in each newsletter devoted to new professionals and/or grad students
- Coordinate attendance at graduate association meetings and site visits to Higher Ed departments to introduce students to NCCPA
- Implement Careers in Student Affairs week program (info from ACPA)
- Work with conference committee to establish grad student scholarship to conferences (Give our one free conference registration)
- Contact appropriate faculty at NC State, UNCG, Appalachian State and ECU for support, ideas, and assistance. Submit job openings to this contact.
- Provide job info services / openings placed at table for fall conference (w/conference committee)
- Submit openings to listserv or web page
- Collaborate with conference committee to pilot a mentoring program

Conference Planning Constitution: The committee shall be responsible for the programs for all meetings of the Association, including on-site arrangements and convening of Association conferences.
Responsibilities: Organize on-site arrangements, solicit and select programs, and convene Association conferences. Committee should seek to generate a profit to be used for other NCCPA projects through conference income.
- Collaborate with other organizations to co-sponsor future conferences
- Send conference materials to graduate programs
- Review out-of-state conference planning
- Offer clearinghouse for rides and roommates to/for conferences
- Use membership money effectively, i.e. be fiscally responsible
- Recruit conference committee members to assist with:
- Conference theme and organization
- On-site registration
- Program host
- Program solicitation and selection
- Determine a process to identify “hot topics” for conference sessions
- Collaborate with other committees to ensure that sessions meet needs of all campus populations, and institutions, and are inclusive to all. (Diversity, Community College, etc)
- Collaborate with membership committee to recognize new members at conference
- Make registration process user friendly, and sent out in a timely manner
- Send confirmation of receipt of registration and programs
- Set up a mentoring program for grads or to organization at conference
- Have each member on Exec Board help in some manner, even if small task
- Submit information on conferences to Newsletter

Newsletter & Technology Constitution: The committee shall be responsible for the publication of the Association newsletter and any other Association publications as designated by the President.
Responsibilities: Collect information, publish and distribute the NCCPA newsletter at least four times during the year.
- Place pictures of current Exec Board members in the fall newsletter
- Publicize new members in all newsletters
- Publicize Careers in Student Affairs Week
- Dedicate portion of newsletter to Diversity committee and Grad/New Professionals Committee
- Solicit vendor advertising
- Solicit committee reports, articles, interesting information, upcoming conference info, etc.
- Determine budget and publication schedule
- Publish new members list, board members contact info, board photo in first issue
- Send out reminders of submission deadlines to all members in 2-3 weeks beforehand. Include Elections info/results, Book reviews, Unique program info, Guest scholar column, Letter from president, Student leadership conference info
- Contact grad programs in NC to solicit article submissions on recent research
- Awards info, Webpage address, Celebrate accomplishments/promotions
- The Committee shall be responsible for the maintenance of the NCCPA Website and for evaluating and implementing future technological needs of the Association.

Leadership Consortium Constitution: The committee shall develop activities related to leadership programs and resources, information, and research to share with professionals in higher education in North Carolina. In addition, the Consortium will provide an activity annually for the professional development of the Executive Board.
Responsibilities: Develop activities related to leadership programs, information, and research to share with professionals in higher education in NC. Provide professional development activities for the Executive Board members.
- Coordinate the annual LEAD conference
- Update the Inside Look, a resource of leadership programs in the state
- Maintain and promote the Leadership Bank
- Provide pre-conference program at fall conferences (alternate with other NCCPA committees)
- Provide professional development session for exec board at annual charge session
- Solicit presentations focusing on leadership topics for NCCPA conferences
- Submit or solicit articles on leadership for the NCCPA newsletter
- Explore other professional development opportunities for NCCPA members to replace annual Spring conference
- Enhance the leadership consortium's webpage to provide links to other leadership resources
- Explore funding opportunities and grants to support research and project development, for NC leaders to write publish position papers, or for the creation of a resource manual/book with ideas to lead groups/organizations

Membership Committee
Constitution: The committee shall be responsible for the coordination of recruitment and retention strategies and other membership related activities as delegated by the Executive Board.
Responsibilities: Coordinate strategies for recruitment and retention, keep updated membership brochure, coordinate membership database with Secretary, and announce new members through the newsletter.
- Keep up with membership numbers and member status
- Develop strategies to recruit traditionally underrepresented groups/institutions
- Chair will recruit and coordinate a diverse membership committee
- Coordinate membership with conference committee
- Collaborate with grad/new professional committee to recruit grad students, and student affairs faculty including the coordination of visits to graduate departments and student affairs staff meetings
- Update membership brochure
- Develop membership plan for the year, assisted by membership committee
- Develop methods to determine reasons for exiting members.
- Recognize new members at conference (collaborate with conference committee)
- Recognize new members in the newsletter (collaborate w/newsletter)
- Send out welcome letters within 2 weeks of new members' entrance to the Association.
- Provide a membership report at every board meeting
