Keynote Speaker:
                       Kristin Skarie

Teamworks Founder and President, Kristin Skarie, is an international speaker, educator and entrepreneur with twenty-six years of extensive leadership and team-building experience with college, corporate, and
community organizations. Based in Rochester, NY, Teamworks was created on core principle that education is a key component to creating sustainable change in the world. 

Kristin’s background is in higher education administration, organization development and small business advancement. Her experience in student affairs includes residence life, student activities, orientation and leadership development in the US and the UK as well as youth development in Malaysia and South Africa. Kristin and her Teamworks associates have worked with hundreds of colleges and universities, health care teams and corporate organizations since the company’s inception in 1997.

Kristin has recently established the “Plant a Seed – Make a Difference” Foundation to collaborate with visionary organizations in promoting educationally, economically and environmentally sound communities. She volunteers with the Rochester City Schools and Habitat for Humanity and is an active member of her Kiwanis Club. Kristin is also a Lead Facilitator for the LeaderShape Institute, an intensive 6-day leadership program for college students. Kristin is Vice President-Elect for the ACPA Foundation Board and has been honored by the College Student Personnel Association of New York State for her Outstanding Service to the Organization. 

Kristin is a contributing author to “Lessons from the Road: Inspirational Insights from Leading Speakers in Education” for which the proceeds benefit Jumpstart, a national literacy initiative. Her upcoming book, “Nothing New: A Year of Living with Less” chronicling her conscious consumption efforts is due out in December 2012. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from the University of Wisconsin and her Masters in Higher Education Administration from Indiana University.
