leadership Consortium

Welcome to the NCCPA Leadership Resource Page! This resource page will provide student affairs professionals across the state of North Carolina and beyond with the following information:

LEAD Conference

LEAD is an annual one-day, drive-in conference sponsored by the North Carolina College Personnel Association (NCCPA) that brings together leaders from campuses across the state of North Carolina. This conference is specifically geared toward current and rising student leaders and is hosted at a different institution each year. Interested campuses should complete the application and submit it to the Leadership Consortium Chair for review. The conference will allow students to network, learn how other leadership teams and programs function and to get ideas to bring back to campus. An integrated aspect of the LEAD program and leadership generally is to give back to others through a community service project designated by the host committee. More about the conference..

Leadership Theory to Review

The Leadership Consortium has identified these two leadership theories to begin our professional development with. By clicking on the links below, you will find an outline of each of the theories. Please be aware that these outlines are just the beginning of what you may learn about each theory. For more resources, please feel free to contact the Leadership Consortium Chair. If there is a new theory you would like to add to this website, please contact the Leadership Consortium Chair.

Graduate Programs in North Carolina

The attached document outlines some of the higher education related degree programs in the state. It is not the intention of NCCPA to endorse any of the programs specifically. If there are changes to be made to the document, please alert the Leadership Consortium Chair.

Additional Leadership Resources

Though there are many opportunities for students in North Carolina, here are a few organizations who offer leadership opportunities beyond our campuses.
